Google India has introduced voice-based search and maps in new Google Mobile page for BlackBerry owners. A large number of BlackBerry phone users will be delighted to have this Google Mobile built by Google India's software engineering team. The Google Mobile for BlackBerry owners will let them search using their voice and also get places using My Location feature.
So, if you're touring somewhere in Delhi, and looking for a good restaurant then you can use the My Location service of Google.
BlackBerry users can access the features from m.google.com from their BlackBerry phones. "Currently, the facility is available only to Blackberry cellphone users in India but we hope to extend this to other handsets by the end of the year," said Vinay Goel, Country Head, Products, Google India.
Hopefully, there's enough data that has been mapped for the remote locations of India besides the metro cities. So, searching for locations using My Locations using voice feature would make the search experience more user friendly.
